Missoula's favorite teen singing event is back! First Night Spotlight is a high school singing competition, produced via a partnership between Missoula Broadcasting Co. and Arts Missoula. This year’s Spotlight event will be live-streamed from the ZACC Show Room from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and features several high school students in the Missoula valley. The virtual event will include live singing, real-time voting, and judges’ commentary. Winners will receive cash prizes and future performance opportunities.

On New Year’s Eve, winners will be awarded the following prizes:
People’s Choice: $100
Third Place: $100
Second Place: $200
First Place: $300, live radio performance on U104.5, and professional development opportunites with MAMAcademy from Montana Area Music Association.

These finalists will be featured on New Year’s Eve: Jack Hubbard (Sentinel High School), Amelia Krieg (Loyola Sacred Heart High School) Shea Keene & Cade Slayden (Hellgate High School), Rex Koenig (Hellgate High School), Haley Hoffmann (Homeschool), and Veronica Stimpfling (Hellgate High School). Spotlight judges are Arielle Nachtigal, Maria Zepeda, and Mark Heyka. MC’s for the event are Aubrey Nilson and Tommy Evans from U-104.5 and The Trail 103.3.

First Night Spotlight is a production of Arts Missoula, connecting Art, Culture and Community through Education, Advocacy and Celebration, serving as a resource for the coordination, development and support of art and culture for the benefit of the Missoula community.
