Did you know there are many more ways to make pottery besides the potter's wheel? Come join handbuilt pottery expert Austin Coudriet and learn a variety of methods to make unique and stylish pottery not bound by the circular confines of the wheel. Learn to use coils, slabs, and pinch pots like a pro to make decorative and functional pieces such as shallow dishes and plates, cups and bowls, even out-of-the-box pieces like floral vessels, luminaries, incense holders, and more!

Handbuilt pottery opens up a wide variety of options and styles, and the more solid state of the clay when handbuilt allows for tons of creative decorating options. This class is an excellent way for upcoming young creatives to really explore what clay can do! Teens and preteens welcome. Base experience with clay is recommended, but not required to take this class.
