When: Saturday, January 28, 2023, 1-4 pm

About the workshop: Tracy will begin with a brief introduction to the history of artists' books and explore a wide variety of examples of the form, from the traditional to the unconventional. Participants will then create a simple book form that can be decorated with provided supplies.

Audience: This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 14 . There is no art experience necessary to participate.

Cost: The workshop is free, but a suggested donation is appreciated! Registration is required.

About the Artist: Tracy Hall is an artist living in Missoula, MT. She graduated from The University of Montana in 2015 with a degree in English and Creative Writing. Since then, she has focused on her art practice which includes bookmaking, surreal illustration, nature drawing, and textile art. She completed an artist residency at the MT Natural History Center in 2021.

What to Bring: All artmaking materials will be provided! Water and restrooms will be available at the site. Feel free to bring hydration and a snack to keep the creative juices flowing during the workshop!

Parking: Registration in the workshop does not include unlimited parking in the library lot. Anyone parking in the Library's lot for more than 2 hours is subject to being ticketed.
