As part of 30 days of Innovation, the Montana Media, Music, and Art Hackathon is a weekend long marathon of creativity, problem solving, art making, programming, and working in the Innovation Factory. Participants are invited to come work in teams towards the creation of a media, music, and/or art based project.

For each M3AH there will be a theme. This iterations theme is “remix”. Teams are encouraged to develop a project that explores the concept of remixing, uses remixing as a process, or somehow relates to reuse/reinvention/remixing.
Participants should plan to arrive Saturday morning, during which the theme will be presented and discussed. The space, as well as available equipment, tools, and resources will also be presented. Then, participants can break into groups and get started with the project. Pre-formed groups are welcome to participate. For those without a group, there will be a brainstorming session following the initial talks to help form groups and assist in ideation of a project.

Groups can wall day Saturday up until midnight, and most of the day Sunday. Lunch provided! Groups will present the results of the hackathon project at a public presentation with awards at 3:00pm Sunday. For more information about the Hackathon please contact michael.musick@umontana.edu
