October's selection is a special screening and post-film discussion of the movie "Titane" from France (rated R). Prof. Matthew Strohl will moderate the discussion. This program is part of the series Re-Imagining Death: Conversations on Dying, Loss, and Grief in partnership with UM's Humanities Institute.
A woman with a titanium plate fitted in her head and murderous intent on her mind embarks on a bizarre journey of identity and unconditional love when she's forced to go on the run. Running time is 108 minutes. All films are shown in the original language with English subtitles. World Wide Cinema is MPL’s free monthly film series of first-run independent and foreign films. Screenings are held the second Friday of each month. Doors are open from 6:15 - 6:45 and the film starts at 6:30, late entry is not allowed. Attendees must enter from the library’s parking garage, all other doors are locked.
