Whether you dream of
being the captain of a boat or
being knowledgeable to help the captain
on a boat, this is a perfect class to
get you started. You will learn basic
sailing terminology and knot tying;
navigation rules and how to use navigation
aids; maneuvering and points
of sail; and you will become familiar
with safety gear and procedures. At
the conclusion of this class, you will
have the option of taking the American
Sailing Association (ASA) 101 written
exam. For those interested in handson
experience to become ASA certified,
the instructor will provide options
for on-water training and testing.
