MPL is excited to sponsor The Montana Racial Equity Project’s Book Club in Missoula. In May we’ll discuss “All About Love: New Visions” by bell hooks and new this month, we’ll discuss a children’s book! We’ll start with “Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story” by Kevin Noble Maillard. MPL has a few copies available for check out, and local bookstores Fact & Fiction in Missoula https://www.factandfictionbooks.com/ and Chapter One Bookstore in Hamilton https://www.chapter1bookstore.com/ sell Book Club selections at a discount to participants. This discussion group is facilitated by Chris Young-Greer, Education Initiative Lead for the Montana Racial Equity Project. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Reading selections include mainly nonfiction titles about social justice, equity, and issues affecting historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed individuals or communities.
