We had so much fun bringing two Missoula powerhouse artists--Stephanie Frostad & Julia Galloway--together in the Sonnets exhibit in 2017 and, at that time, they were each embarking on such interesting artistic projects that we plied them with cider until they agreed to show their new projects again at Radius. You'll thank us for it.

Both artists have a connection to poetry, so we selected a show title from an influential poem by American Modernist Robert Duncan. It explores the tension between reflecting on past artistic traditions even while pushing against and even breaking open those established borders. We think it's an especially apt theme for the complex and forward thinking projects these boundary-busting artists have undertaken.
