This class is an introduction to welding
practices used in the home shop
and metal fabrication. In this course
the students will be instructed in a
variety of welding processes which will
include: Oxygen –Acetylene cutting,
Oxygen – Acetylene welding and brazing.
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick
electrode), Gas Metal Arc Welding
(wire feed) and hand held Plasma Arc
Cutting. The student will supply welding
gloves, safety glasses and hearing
protection. Clothing will be non-synthetic
and suitable for shop work with
sturdy shoes.
