Local R&B/blues stalwarts Mudslide Charley draws inspiration from a more antiquated era when Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker first fused the rough and rural vibes of southern acoustic blues with modern electric instruments, adding a nice touch of modern soul to create a house rockin' roots music sound that never leaves a dance floor empty. Margi Cates sings on her bike, in airports, and on stages. Sometimes she sings R&B/soul, sometimes she sings wedding stuff, and sometimes she sings to children. This time she’ll be singing on the Show Room stage, accompanied by Nick Barr on guitar.
