Beartooth 27 Presentation with Five Valleys Land Trust
6:00 PM (America/Denver)
Runner's Edge - basement room
Beartooth 27 Presentation with Five Valleys Land Trust Description:
Nate Bender will share his story of completing the first-ever continuous traverse of Montana's tallest peaks — 27 in all over 12,000 feet, all located in the Beartooth range of south-central Montana. With the invaluable help of over a dozen friends and family, Nate linked the peaks together in just over four days this past August.

The presentation will cover the details of what it took to prepare for the trip and all the challenges along the way (shivering in a bivy at 10,000 feet! Lightning storms!). It will also focus more broadly on how a trip like this highlights some of the benefits of public lands & wild spaces, and the community / camaraderie the trip fostered for all involved. Five Valleys Land Trust will also be on hand to speak to these themes and talk about their work protecting western Montana's open spaces.

The event is free, and donations to Five Valleys are gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.

There will be beer and sparkling water available, courtesy of Big Sky Brewing, and also a large antipasto platter graciously donated from Market on Front.
