Glass fusing is defined as the heat bonding of separate pieces of glass in a kiln. This introductory class will cover the basic principles of fusing: glass compatibility, volume control, firing profiles, temperature zones, design options, and trouble shooting. Students will create five small projects to explore the possibilities and limitations of fusing. Tools, materials, and kiln-firings are included.
