MSU Master Gardner Level 1 Class Series: Intro & Climate of Western MT

Description:
This winter, Missoula Public Library hosts the Master Gardener Level 1 Class Series, a program of the MSU/Missoula County Extension Office. Classes include 10 sessions of hands on lessons in plant biology, soils, backyard trees, ornamental plants, vegetables and fruits, and pest management. Participants can certify as a Montana Master Gardener after completing class sessions, passing a content test, and completing 20 hours of volunteer service. Classes begin January 27 and are every Thursday through March 31 from 6-8:30PM in the Library’s Cooper Room B (February 10th’s class will be in the Blackfoot Room). Class fee to cover the cost of materials is $60 per registrant. Materials include a Montana Master Gardener textbook and resource binder. Scholarships are available to help cover the class fee for those in need.
