Wassail Description:
On January 18th, we host the seasonal rite of WASSAIL to raise the winter spirit of the community. A traditionally British celebration, the purpose of this ritual is to insure a bounty of apples for the coming season. The festivities will include costumed pageantry, theater, music, a procession, food, and ritual put on by our incredibly talented friends in Missoula's arts community. This is a unique event comparable to none.

We will also have our hot Wassail on tap, made from a 10.6?V New England cider we call The Colonial.

In the spirit of participation, we encourage everyone to attend the festivities in Old World costumes. We will be hosting several workshops to help prepare you for the festivities including mask, crown, and cup making - in partnership with Farm Hand Farm, Earth Within Flowers, and The Clay Studio of Missoula. See details on these workshops on our Events page.

Join us in making this legendary celebration - legendary! Tell your friends! Tell your family! Follow our stories on Instagram and Facebook as we familiarize our community with this ancient celebration. WASSAIL! ('Waes Hael!' means 'Good Health!')

Performance will start near 6PM. Get here early to get warmed up and fed! We're asking for $5 per person to help support the local performers. Good tiding!
