Larry Evans grew up on a Christmas Tree farm in Illinois, and moved to Missoula where he graduated from the University of Montana before moving to Japan and Korea for four years. He has been a mushroom teacher, researcher, songwriter, and vendor for many years and is featured in the documentary film "Know Your Mushrooms." He travels the world in search of exotic fungi.
