Meriwether Lewis is believed to have collected hundreds of mineral specimens during the expedition---yet only a handful survive. What happened to these treasures and why? After Dr. Klieger's lecture we will carpool to a site on the Blackfoot river near Lincoln to collect jasper. We will be alongside the Blackfoot river. Kids older than 10 years please.
