With a 20-year history of making unforgettable music, working the family farm, and advocating for the environment, Acoustic Syndicate is comprised of brothers and cousins in the McMurry Family, as well as Jay Sanders and Billy Cardine, from Cleveland County, North Carolina. They released their seventh album, Rooftop Garden, in late 2013 and have traveled the country for national festivals including Farm Aid, Telluride and Bonnaroo. The McMurry Family and their ancestors have been farming in the same region for more than 200 years, so local environmental and farming issues are close to the heart for these men. Acoustic Syndicate was last here in 2011 and will close out the 10th Anniversary of River City Roots Fest Saturday night.
