Secrets of the Jocko Lakes Fire
10:00 AM (America/Denver)
Frenchtown Pond State Park
Secrets of the Jocko Lakes Fire Description:
Join us for Secrets of the Jocko Lakes Fire with Milo McLeod at Frenchtown Pond State Park on Saturday, August 25th, at 7pm. This free program is part of Frenchtown Pond’s Summer Interpretive Series.

Sometimes wildfires unearth fascinating secrets about our past. The 2007 Jocko Lakes Fire did just that, revealing a cache and sharing intricate details about the people and lives that came before ours. Why were these artifacts left here? What can they tell us about the past? Retired Forest Service Archeologist, Milo McLeod, will dazzle us with artifacts and stories about what was uncovered when they surveyed the land burned by the Jocko Lakes Fire. Find out more about this discovery, history and archeology during this fun, educational program!

RSVP for the last program of the season on Eventbrite!
