For Kids 9-14
Adventure camp is just that.. plus a whole lot more!! The week together is guaranteed to be full of recreation, challenge, learning and good ol' fashioned fun! As we set our intention each day and begin to build a group mind of caring and cooperation, we will be ready to explore, discover and grow from within. Most importantly, participants will learn ways to become better stewards of the land.

The camp day is filled with motivating nature awareness games, opportunities to practice survival skill challenges and solo periods to strengthen personal connection to nature.

Along-the-way we will investigate the landscape, encouraging a scientific approach with self-discovery as well as learn from special guest experts that join us throughout the week. A group attitude will evolve that stresses the importance of becoming informed caretakers with a desire to respect and protect the places we come to know intimately.

Participants will rely on field guides to answer their questions, discover indigenous ways to utilize resources and learn to carefully observe the signs and clues left behind by the critters that live there.

Campers will use creative journaling to record what they see, hear, taste smell and feel throughout the week. With active days packed full of exercise and exploration, participants will come home full of stories to share, with great enthusiasm for the day's learning and adventure... and ready for a good night's rest.

Each year a new theme will guide the exploits and locations throughout the Swan Valley. New for this year, Adventure Camp will include an overnight campout on Thursday night.
