Blue to the Bone is the Bitterroot Valley's premier traditional bluegrass band playing immaculate arrangements of first generation classics with a smattering of Newgrass thrown in. The band features banjo, mandolin, upright doghouse bass, guitar and Dobro (resonator guitar). Their powerful 3-part vocal harmonies present the "high lonesome" sound reminiscent of the Father of Bluegrass music himself, Bill Monroe.
