MPL's June foreign film is "The Dark Valley." Borrowing from classic western themes (but filmed in the Alps), "The Dark Valley" is based on a bestselling German novel "Das finstere Tal," by Thomas Willmann. It won Bavarian Film Awards in 2014 for both Best Director and Best Actor (Tobias Moretti) and was an official selection at the Berlin International Film Festival. To find out more, call 721-BOOK.
