This course will provide tools that can be used in the moment, both on the job and on an on-going basis off the job, to increase the ability to autoregulate emotion and to decrease physiological hyperarousal. These are two aspects of trauma resiliency. These proven tools are borrowed from many different areas in psychotherapy, gathered into a tool chest, and taught over a specific amount of time to allow participants to experience and practice them, and to come back with questions. All of the tools require consistent practice to be of optimal use in a time of crisis, which is why practice is so important.

This course has been approved for 14 CEs for Mental Health Providers.
