Gray Thompson, a local legend as both a rock climber and a geologist, will be presenting on some of his climbing experiences with us. Gray is a retired geology professor at the UM and will be sharing slides and stories from some of his experiences from Lotus Flower Tower and other climbing adventures. Gray has been pushing the field of climbing and geology since the early 60's and is still climbing hard at age 73. He has published several papers, abstracts, articles, video disks, and books in both the fields of climbing and geology. Gray has also put up several first ascents in the US. Canada, Alaska, and Europe. Come join us and be undoubtedly inspired by the legend. . . Gray Thompson!
