Forty years ago, on April 23, 1974, Sri Chinmoy gave a lecture on Beauty at the University of Montana. This event, organized by South & South-East Studies at UM with Jamini Young, a member of Sri Chinmoy Center, Seattle, commemorates that visit, and also 50 years of his work in the U.S. We will read aloud the lecture and discuss Sri Chinmoy's philosophy of peace and inter-faith understanding, its roots in Hindu thought, and its impact in America.
