Grab your fin and swim on over to the MCT Center for the Performing Arts! The Missoula Community Theatre is holding an open audition on Sunday, February 25 for Disney’s The Little Mermaid. The audition will take place from 12:30-4:00 PM. Please use the Main Street entrance and go to the third floor.

Director Joseph Martinez is organizing the audition by age group. Children ages 10-15 will audition from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Adults ages 16 and older will audition from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Martinez will be joined by music director James Rio and choreographer Heather Adams.

Roles to be cast include a plethora of humans and sea creatures including the yearning Ariel, the heroic Prince Eric, the unscrupulous Ursula, her assistants Flotsam and Jetsam, the adorable Flounder, and the harried Sebastian. Martinez expects to cast about 35 people.

No advance preparation is required to audition. Martinez does request that auditionees who own roller skates or Heelys (roller skating shoes) to bring them to the audition to display their skating skills. Call-backs will take place the same evening. Martinez expects that rehearsals will be weeknights from 7-10:30 PM. The performances of Disney’s The Little Mermaid will be April 26-29 & May 2-13, 2018.
