DJ Abilities, the legendary Minneapolis-based DJ of Rhymesayers Entertainment is coming through Montana on his latest national tour, the Hops & Scotch Tour with Seattle-based emcee Sadistik on February 25th, 2013. DJ Abilities is well known in the Midwest for being one of the best battle DJs in the scene, having won multiple DMC Regional Championships. He is also recognized as a talented producer, widely known from his role in the Hip-Hop duo Eyedea & Abilities. Sadistik, who is releasing his new album Flowers For My Father just a week before the Missoula show, is not just another rapper, he is an artist in the most honest sense of the word. Hailing all the way from the scenic gloom of Seattle, Washington, Sadistik has quickly gained the hearts and ears of listeners by opting for a more personal and heartfelt brand of music by carefully circumventing the limiting cliches of rap music. By combining caustic honesty, clever wit and technical innovation, Sadistik has crafted a sound that he can truly call his own. While his writing style tends to be his signature, it not without the help of some of the most talented producers in the underground scene including multi-instrumentalist Emancipator, Blue Sky Black Death and Kno from Cunninlynguists. The two are touring with Maulskull, and local support for the tour are Codependents, a St. Ignatius based hip-hop crew who have made a name for themselves throughout the Northwest with their unique and raw Montana style, as well as Missoula-based Hip-Hop acts Rude Meets Gatsby and Jimmy Beccari.
