Creating Sustainable Food Systems: A Discussion // 3-5 PM // Free
In conjunction with Tracy Linder's exhibition Blindsided, MAM is hosting a panel discussion with community leaders involved in creating local and sustainable food systems. Authors, artist, activists, scholars and growers of sustainable food were invited to join this discussion facilitated by PEAS Farm Director and UM Environmental Studies professor Josh Slotnick. Discussion will be followed by an offering of local foods and wines. Panelists will include Bonnie Buckingham, Executive Director of Community Food and Agriculture
Coalition , Ian Finch, Coordinator, UM Farm to College Program, Neva Hassanein, UM Associate Professor of Environmental Studies, author Richard Manning and artist Tracy Linder. Cosponsored by Garden City Harvest.
