PORT OF ENTRY - 15 min
A Howard Johnson motel off of I-95 is an unlikely haven for asylum seekers during their first hours in America. And yet, after their long journeys, this is where many refugees will spend their very first night in this country, before taking connecting flights to their final point of resettlement. PORT OF ENTRY captures a group of newcomers during their first moments in the country, exploring the sense of loss and hope that pervades the refugee experience.

FANTASSUT/RAIN ON THE BORDERS - 15 min
11,000 refugees have been stranded for months in the Idomeni refugee camp on the Greek/Macedonian border. This short documentary is a glimpse of their lives in a forgotten twilight zone, as they wait for the European borders to open.

WELCOME TO CANADA - 19 min
This short film tells the story of Mohammed Alsaleh, a young Syrian refugee granted asylum in Canada after fleeing torture and imprisonment by the Assad regime. While rebuilding his life in Vancouver, he assists newly-arrived Syrian refugee families to resettle, finding new homes and new beginnings.
