BSDFF - Shorts Block 10 Description:
Inhale: Through horses, a man feels an irrepressible duty to move in harmony with his pain. INHALE explores the infinite momentum of a man’s life who’s relationship with pain and grief transforms with time.

Los Lecheros: The fates of undocumented immigrant workers and Wisconsin’s $43 billion dairy industry are closely intertwined – and both are grappling with their options for survival as fears of ICE raids and deportations under the Trump administration grow.

Prince of Smoke: A story of artisanal tradition and connection to the past, PRINCE OF SMOKE shows the process of tobacco farming through the eyes of Hirochi Robaina, Cuban tobacco farmer and artisan cigar maker, and the influential factors of the climate, the land, and the grower that play a part in the delicate process. Having surrounded his entire life around his work, Hirochi fights to preserve a 172 year old family legacy.

The Artifact Artist: Uprooted from the forests of Connecticut to move to New York City, 9 year old Scott Jordan declared, ‘I won’t be a city kid!’ 45 years later, Scott is an urban archeologist, an Indiana Jones in Gotham, if you will. By hand digging out old privies, cisterns and landfills across the five boroughs, Scott preserves New York City history by creating artifact art with the treasures he finds.
