ZACC Adult Workshop: Relief Printmaking II
6:00 PM (America/Denver)
Zootown Arts Community Center
Description:
Every Third Thursday of the Month, the ZACC features a workshop, sometimes available free to our members. Held 6-8pm, these workshops are taught by one of our three resident artist educators. Prepayment and preregistration is required by calling 549-7555 The earliest known form of printmaking is the relief, a subtractive art where layers of the block are shaved away to create highlights, depth, and form in the final image. Where does the suicide part come in? Creating a multicolor relief print means each succeeding color is applied to the block, printed, and then carved away, meaning that your block gets smaller and smaller each time you print! There's no going back! All your materials and tools are provided. Bring several images or inspirations to work from. Instructor: Lindsey Weber Class is limited to 6 people. Pre-registration is required and payment is due at the time of registration. You can register at the ZACC 12-6pm Monday through Saturday or below. If you are member, and need to get the member rate, call us! We'd like to talk to you and say hi anyway. Price: $45.00
