On Saturday, February 4, 2012 the Wilma Theater will once again be host to the fifth annual Off the Rack fashion show. As Blue Mountain Clinic's signature fundraiser, Off the Rack provides critical funding to Blue Mountain Clinic's outreach and education programs, as well as great entertainment!
Off the Rack seeks to promote healthy sexuality that goes beyond barriers, gender and stigma through avant-garde fashion. Along with live music, comedy, dance and entertainment, local artists generously donate their creativity to making the bras, dresses, suits, ties, accessories and other ensembles made of condoms and other materials that promote healthy sexuality. We believe all persons are sexual and that sexuality is a natural healthy part of living. By combining humor, art, music and latex, Off the Rack creates community conversation and an entertaining fashion show like nothing else. 
The Off the Rack fundraiser provides funding for Blue Mountain Clinic's community programs such as the Montana Access Project, which seeks to increase access to accurate health care information and resources. In 2010, the Montana Access Project launched ASKMAP, a text and web-based hotline for sexual health questions. The goal of the service is to provide reproductive and sexual health information, education and resources to a generation that is technologically connected. Users can send or text a question confidentially and anonymously and receive answers and resources from trusted, trained professionals in a technological medium that is culturally appropriate and reduces shame and embarrassment. 
Proceeds from Off the Rack along with generous donations from the community make programs like ASKMAP possible. Please show your support for Blue Mountain Clinic, the programs it provides, and latex-based fashions by attending Off the Rack on February 4th!
The Off the Rack show begins at 8:30pm at the Wilma Theater. A pre-show reception and live auction will be held at 6:30pm at The Loft of Missoula. Tickets for the reception and show are available online at bluemountainclinic.org, at the Blue Mountain Clinic front desk, and at the Green Light on the corner of Broadway and Higgins.
