Five Valleys Land Trust
Universal Trails & Outdoors for Everyone Virtual Panel Description:
The outdoors are for everyone. Join Five Valleys Land Trust for the free virtual panel discussion, "Voices from the Community: Why Access, Equity and Inclusion Matter."

For some members of our community, access to the outdoors can be limited by factors such as physical ability, mental health, income, access to transportation, family status, race, cultural background, gender, and gender identity. During this panel discussion we will hear from community members who have experienced barriers to access, discuss ways to make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive, and get inspired to improve accessibility for everyone in our community. Panelists include:

Moderator: Donna Gaukler, Director of Missoula Parks and Recreation

Chris Clasby, Peer Advocacy Coordinator, Summit Independent Living

Ashley Ostheimer Hilliard, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Missoula Food Bank & Community Center

Alex Kim, Racial Justice Engagement Specialist, Empower Montana and YWCA Missoula

Tom McDonald, Division Manager for Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation programs, Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes

A short Q&A will follow the program. This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
