Missoula's Annual Festival of the Dead
For more than 30 years, Missoula’s Festival of the Dead has been a cherished community tradition—a space where we come together to honor those we’ve lost, express our grief through art, and celebrate lives lived with love and meaning.
This multicultural, multi-generational festival invites us to share our customs, learn from one another, and experience the healing that comes through collective remembrance. For some, it is a solemn time of reflection. For others, it is a joyful celebration of enduring connection.
Through workshops, gatherings, and personal creative expression, we acknowledge that grief is not one-size-fits-all—and we welcome the full spectrum of ways people remember, mourn, and celebrate.
Join us in closing the festival with the Procession on November 2—an awe-inspiring celebration of life, death, and the arts that winds through the heart of Missoula. All are welcome.
Follow us on Facebook @facebook.com/Missoula.Festival.ofthe.Dead/.
All are welcome to join.
This is a community-wide celebration.
Everyone is welcome to use this Festival of the Dead tag page.
