After the success of our fall Pop-Up, and recognizing that Toys for Tots will not be operating in our area this season, we’re stepping up to help fill the gap for families across Missoula. With inflation rising and SNAP benefits set to be reduced this November, many households will be facing a difficult holiday season.

Each year, the U.S. produces more than 40 million tons of plastic waste, and over 80% of toys end up in landfills, contributing nearly 6% of all landfill plastics (News Decoder, 2023). This winter, we’re choosing sustainability and compassion — by all of us doing our part will giving toys and gifts one more chance to bring joy instead of adding to waste.

The Missoula’s Magic Season of Sharing Pop-Up Free Store will focus on children and teens, providing toys, clothes, and holiday essentials — all shared freely, no wrapping or price tags needed. We’re inviting local businesses and organizations to become donation drop-off locations, and community members to volunteer to help sort, set up, and spread cheer.
