The Montana Racial Equity Project Book Club Description:

MPL is excited to sponsor The Montana Racial Equity Project’s Book Club in Missoula! In December we’ll discuss “My Vanishing Country: A Memoir” by Bakari Sellers. MPL has a few copies available for check out, and local bookstores Fact & Fiction in Missoula (https://www.factandfictionbooks.com/) and Chapter One Bookstore in Hamilton (https://www.chapter1bookstore.com/) sell Book Club selections at a discount to participants.

This group typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Cooper Room at the library from 6-7:45PM. Note that December's meeting will be one week early (December 15) and held on Zoom only. To join please email Sarah at svelk@missoula.lib.mt.us. This discussion group is facilitated by Chris Young-Greer, Education Initiative Lead for the Montana Racial Equity Project. Reading selections include mainly nonfiction titles about social justice, equity, and issues affecting historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed individuals or communities.
