Description:
In connection with the history exhibit, “A Music Mosaic: How Missoula Built Its Rockin’ Community,” the ZACC will host a Music Memorabilia Showcase on Saturday, December 7, followed by a rock show. The Memorabilia Showcase (free, begins at 3 PM) will include tables where people can show off and tell stories about their music memorabilia, including old records, show posters, zines, setlists, clothing and so on. Contact the Marketing, Events, and Outreach Coordinator Mikyla Veis at mikyla@zootownarts.org if you would like to participate.

After the Memorabilia Showcase, there will be a rock concert showcasing different genres and generations of Missoula musicians. Tormi trumpets experimental art rock, while Crypticollider blasts out psychedelic rock. After these younger bands, Andy Cohen will play a solo set. Cohen played in the early post-punk Missoula band Ein Heit in the 1980s before forming Silkworm with several other Missoulians. Silkworm went on to great critical acclaim. Cohen will be followed by VTO, who have been playing their high-energy pop/garage/country brand of punk since the early 1990s.
