A Jewelry Sale for the Missoula Food Bank
at Bathing Beauties Beads

Our story starts 5 years ago, when Bathing Beauties Beads held its Annual Bead Challenge: Year of the Mermaid. The winner that year, Jeanne Auen, was awarded a gift certificate and a First Friday show here at Bathing Beauties Beads. Jeanne came to us and asked if her show could donate all of its proceeds to the Missoula Food Bank. We didn't hesitate to say yes!

While the first two years we have sold Jeanne's and Bathing Beauties Jewelry, we are now doing something a little different. Our friend Jeanne passed away, if you had the chance to know her you were truly lucky because she was like no other human being on the planet. A beautiful and loving soul that truly believed that peace would be found when the hungry are fed.

Jeanne left her bead collection to her family, and her family very generously donated this collection to the event! Since last year’s event we have had multiple amazing humans donate their bead collections as well, specifically to this cause, and can’t thank them enough. These packets are for inspired artists to come by Bathing Beauties Beads pick one or two up (FREE OF CHARGE) and design jewelry to be sold at the annual fundraiser.
Packet Info:

The rules are pretty simple:

1. Pick a packet(s) (first come first served). Packet pick up begins November, 1st 2019.

2. Make some jewelry/art to be sold in our First Friday show December 6th.

3. Bring back finished piece or pieces (with completed artists submission form) by Monday, December 2nd. Return to Bathing Beauties Beads.

4. Feel free to supplement your work with any materials you see fit.

5. Our goal is to sell finished pieces for $15 to $59 retail. Again 100% of that price point will go to the Missoula Food Bank.

6. Join us for the First Friday Reception! It's one night only from 5pm to 8pm.

7. We collect your information when you pick up your packet(s). For those who do not return their packet you should be prepared to donate $25 to the Missoula Food Bank.
