As a concert pianist Pedja Mužijevi? is equally passionate about playing solo recitals at 92NY in New York, chamber music at the Spoleto Festival, concertos with the Atlanta Symphony, and staged interpretations of works at the Paris Opera. Likewise, as a curator, he enthusiastically pursues his work programming concerts as the artistic advisor of the Tippett Rise Arts Center in southcentral Montana and mentoring new generations of musicians at the Verbier Academy in Switzerland and the Banff Center, in Alberta.

On this performance, Mr. Mužijevi? will appear with the SOR playing Piano Concerto no. 4 in G Major, op. 58, by Ludwig van Beethoven. The balance of the program will include works by Joseph Haydn and Greek composer Nikos Skalkottas.

In addition to the November 23 concert, the string orchestra will perform February 22 with guest oboist Jenifer Cavanaugh, Dean of the College of Arts and Media at UM, and NEXTGEN area students and on April 12 featuring a return appearance by renowned violinist Stephanie Chase.

This is the String Orchestra of the Rockies’ 41st consecutive season.
