The Missoula Community Theatre will hold an open audition for 'Calendar Girls' on Sunday, November 11 from 12:30-3:30 PM at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts. Please use the Main Street entrance and go to the third floor.

Based on a true story, 'Calendar Girls' has become one of the most popular plays in British history and was made into a movie. To raise money to buy a new couch for their hospital waiting room, best friends Annie and Chris decide to pose nude for a calendar. The calendar not only raises money, but also plenty of eyebrows, ire, and spirits!

Director Teresa Waldorf is planning to cast 10 women and 4 men. The characters range in age from 20’s to 70’s. Waldorf is seeking performers who can use a British dialect.

Although 'Calendar Girls' is not a musical, some characters will play the piano and sing. While no characters will appear nude on stage, the suggestion of nudity is part of the story, so a willingness to be on stage partially clothed is necessary.

No advance preparation is required to audition. Call-backs will take place the same evening. Waldorf expects that rehearsals will be weeknights from 6:30-10:00 PM. 'Calendar Girls' will have performances Jan. 17-27.
