UM Art Dept. hosts Artist Reinaldo Zambrano Gil Description:
Reinaldo Gil is an emerging artist currently teaching at Eastern Washington University, focusing on drawing & printmaking. His specialty is collaborative printed mural installations. Raised primarily in Venezuela before moving to Costa Rica for high school, Gil then relocated to Idaho for his BFA & MFA studies. His studio practice is related to his experiences as immigrant & exile.
Reinaldo has experience engaging other artists & the community to collaborative design & install public print murals - wheatpasted murals made from individual relief prints that are designed to work together into a cohesive whole. The student work will be reflective of some of the themes of Remembrance, & will be displayed in the Fine Arts Building Gallery & carried in the Festival of Remembrance Procession.
Wednesday October 24-Thursday October 25:Gil will work with University of Montana printmaking students in FA 403 from 11-4 to install a mural of relief prints on Fine Arts Building 4th floor

Thursday October 25: Reinaldo Gil public evening lecture, 5:30pm, Liberal Arts Room 11, UM Campus.

Friday October 26: Starting 9am to install student pieces in Fine Arts Building Gallery
