Thirteenth Annual Pianissimo!
—Twenty-five pianists, five pianos, and a birthday celebration!—

The University of Montana School of Music presents the thirteenth annual Pianissimo! concerts on October 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall. This year’s program is entitled, “Roll Over, Beethoven!” as he rolled over another year with his 250th birthday last year. As the program title suggests, there will also be an element of rock n’ roll in this year’s show, featuring familiar pop and rock songs that all audience members will enjoy.

Also returning this year is Poco Pianissimo! is a smaller version of the big show for younger audience members. This condensed version will be filled with high-energy pieces and no intermission. This concert will take place on Saturday, October 23 at 3pm in the Music Recital Hall.

Pianissimo! is a benefit concert for the UM Keyboard Society, who has won two national recognition awards for its activities and programs. Funds raised will help piano students attend conferences, fund performance travel, sponsor events and bring in guest artists for the Celebrate Piano series. Proceeds will also help with maintenance and care for the pianos at the University of Montana to provide instruments that will continue to attract the best students to the University’s music program.
