Ed played in his first band in his hometown of Philipsburg, way back in 1968, and in the mid-1970’s, toured professionally throughout the northwest U.S. and western Canada. Over the past five decades, Ed has worked as a guitarist and singer in ensembles as large 16 and as small as one... as a solo artist. Regardless of the size of the band, listeners recognize Ed’s guitar work as special. His chord and solo work is musically inventive and tasteful. His use of both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as employing phrase looping recording and vocal harmony technologies to create the sound of an entire band LIVE, provide a springboard for inventive excursions into sonic soundscapes, as well as providing a roadmap for visits to classic tunes from six decades. Ed is a superb vocalist, singing lead as well as harmony. His interpretations of songs such as Chris Isaac’s “Wicked Game” and Eric Clapton's "If I Could Change The World" reach listeners at a deep and fundamental level.
