"The DUI Project" - reading

“The DUI Project,” is being performed only once on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Masquer Theatre on UM’s campus.

“The DUI Project” is a staged reading of scenes written by 19 inmates in the Warm Springs Addiction Treatment and Change Program (WATCh) under the auspices of Community Correctional and Counseling Services. Inmates of the WATCh program have had multiple DUI offenses. The inmates participated in a 10-week program guided by Joki, director of No Joke Theater.

“The DUI Project” pilot, new to the Department of Corrections, was funded by the University of Montana College of the Arts and Media (CAM), and presented in partnership with Montana Repertory Theatre under the artistic direction of Michael Legg.
This performance is free and open to all, but audiences should be aware that this 90-minute performance contains adult themes, including strong language, and references to violence, suicide, and death.
