Seminars to Make Work More Enjoyable
8:30 AM (America/Denver)
Grant Creek Inn
Description:
MAKE WORK MORE ENJOYABLE
The Cost of Conflict
25 percent of employees said that avoiding conflict led to sickness or absence from work. Equally alarming, nearly 10 percent reported that workplace conflict led to project failure and more than one-third said that conflict resulted in someone leaving the company, either through firing or quitting. Those negatives translate into real financial losses for small businesses.
TAKING THE PAIN OUT OF CONFRONTATIONS
Ever feel like the negative employee gets the best of you? It can be your job that is on the line if you can’t handle emotional outbursts, confront ugly behaviors or stop the bully. Whether you are a supervisor, a customer rep or a person working with a difficult coworker, this workshop teaches how to respond to painful issues in a positive and comfortable way, a necessity if you are to succeed. Not saying anything, sugar-coating the conversation or holding and blowing, are not options.
An investment in this training can pay for itself by preventing one lawsuit and, more important, by promoting communications between your leaders and workers and thereby increasing productivity with everyone.

Results of Bad Bosses
The costs of low engagement aren't limited to turnover and recruitment. Gallup found that actively disengaged employees cost the U.S. $450 billion to $550 billion per year; that number doesn't even take into account the "not engaged" employees.
Figures vary, but the turnover cost of one employee can be anywhere from 30% to 150% of the employee’s annual salary.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics use 30% as the base cost of replacing a worker and calculates the rate of turnover by dividing the number of employee separations during the month with the total number of employees at mid-month.
REDUCING LEADERSHIP FRUSTRATION
People causing you grief? Have one individual who keeps you up at night? Questioning your own skills? It is time to learn how to assess a person’s TALENT MIX (basically, their motivation and skills to complete the work at hand). And then, use one of four sets of behaviors to almost guarantee success. You learn to assess people’s TALENT MIX to determine how to lead them in minutes while thinking on your feet. No more 10 strategies for effective leadership or having to memorize a book. Learn from Situational Leadership™, Tony Robbins, Steven Covey’s 7 Habits and more.

Cost of Ineffective Sales
Wasted leads and/or lost customers– rep might have received leads and existing business in their territory that would reasonably have represented more than a third of their target – assume two lost customers and, or deals representing $150k to the company
Lost margins – the rep failed to hit their target, falling $500,000 short – depending on company business model this could represent hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost gross profit which will have to funded from another source – if 75% of revenue is gross profit, then this represents $350,000
WINNING AT SALES—THE RIGHT STYLE AND WHY IT WORKS
