Childhood trauma can have major impacts on individuals and our society as a whole. In this class, we will explore the ACES study to understand the effect that trauma has on people from infancy to adulthood. Participants will learn and discuss the 5 Guiding Principles of trauma-informed care, and how to move toward being trauma-responsive in all our interactions with children and adolescents. This class is designed for parents, community members, caregivers, and educators. It has been approved for 4 credits on the Early Childhood Practitioner Registry.
