Chali 2na is known for his baritone voice and rapid fire approach to rapping. He's also a founding member of the hip hop group Jurassic 5.

Chali put out his first solo record Fish Outta Water in 2009, proceeded by Fish Market Pt. 2, in 2010, which was the follow up to his first mixtape in 2004. Chali 2na has also been part of the salsa funk group Ozomatli and has collaborated with many artists, including Galactic, Blackalicious, Linkin Park, Rusko, Slightly Stoopid, Stephen Marley, and many more. He's also an established grafitti artist, often pairing his visual and musical work together.
