The Band of Heathens are an Austin-based rock and roll group known for their fiercely independent approach to music-making. Led by dual lead vocalists and songwriters Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist, the band has been making music together for over 17 years. They have released nine studio albums to date, including their latest releases, Simple Things and its acoustic counterpart, Simpler Things.
River City Roots Festival is Missoula's Signature Celebration. Admission-free and accessible for all, Roots Fest features live music and art from 30 artists on Main Street. The festival also includes a 4-mile run in partnership with Run Wild Missoula; a multi-truck Food Court on Ryman Street, and the Family Fun Fest in Caras Park on Saturday.
