This session will discuss Montana's 1972 Constitution. The topics will include: the reasons for and process of calling a convention to rewrite the State's constitution; the election of the 100 delegates and who they were; the organization of the convention and its deliberations; the adoption and final ratification of the Constitution by the voters; and a discussion of its key provisions and cases interpreting those provisions.
