Germanfest is a free Montana German festival held each fall in Missoula.

Germanfest is a celebration of German culture and Missoula’s Sister City relationship with Neckargemünd, Germany. It is the premiere Montana German festival in the state. Highlights include traditional food, music and beer.

S-Bahn brings traditional German music with a modern twist. With a diverse and eclectic repertoire, the S-Bahn specializes in Oktoberfests (German) and Malankas (Ukranian). Missoula is pleased to welcome this exciting new addition to Germanfest, sponsored by Bayern Brewery of Missoula.

Germanfest officially gets underway when the traditional keg of beer is tapped by Jurgen Knoeller, owner of Missoula’s Bayern Brewery. Plenty of bratwurst, pretzels, and traditional German pastries will be available at this Montana German festival.
