A Taxpayer's Guide to NATO
1:00 PM (America/Denver)
University of Montana
Description:
Free with a purchase of a $40.00 annual membership.
Who pays for NATO? How does it operate? What are its policies? Is it still necessary and relevant? These questions have frequently been raised in recent years, and even with the Alliance's role in responding to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many misunderstandings and misperceptions remain. This talk provides an overview of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization: how it came to be, how it has adapted, and why it is still relevant. In particular, it will address questions about how it is organized; how it operates, including how it's funded; and its current initiatives and challenges.
